The model 20/7 is a precision, loop powered 2-wire transmitter with galvanic
isolation between its input and the current-loop output signal. The 20/7 provides the
necessary circuitry for amplification and processing of Frequency/Pulse signals from
various sensors such as flowmeters, cams, encoders, tachogenerators and many other types
of rotating machinery. The output is a 4-20mA output signal which is linearly proportional
to the input frequency or pulse rate. An optional LCD indicator is available on the 20/7
to indicate the output in Engineering Units. The 20/7 can be easily ranged without
requiring special tools or board modifications. The model 20/7L also provides signal
linearization to correct for the inherent non-linearity of sensors such as turbine/paddle
flowmeters. A TEST terminal provides a 40-200 mV signal proportional to the 4-20mA output.
Applying a DVM to the TEST terminals allows monitoring and verification of the output
without interrupting or disconnecting the current loop.
